Welcome AEE Rocky Mountain Regional Sponsors
Downloadable Sponsor Letter
Each spring, the Rocky Mountain Region (CO, WY, UT, AZ, NM, KS, NE) of the Association for Experiential Education (AEE) hosts a conference in order to provide professional development and networking opportunities for the members in our region. The 2010 conference is going to be held in Lander, Wyoming, April 16--18.
Who We Are: AEE is a nonprofit, international, professional organization whose mission is to develop and promote experiential education. Experiential education is a philosophy and methodology in which educators purposefully engage with learners in direct experience and focused reflection in order to increase knowledge, develop skills and clarify values. The diverse membership of AEE consists of individuals and organizations with affiliations in education, recreation, outdoor adventure, management, training and development, mental health, youth services, physical education, disabilities programming, and outdoor/environmental education. The Association for Experiential Education is a 501(c) (3), tax-exempt organization. You can learn more on our website: www.aee.org.
During the conference there are multiple ways that foundations, corporations and programs can support the Rocky Mountain Region and the Association for Experiential Education. Attached you'll find information about our six levels of sponsorship, as well as print advertising opportunities catered toward regional businesses. We will also be holding silent and live auctions, which are excellent ways for you to "advertise" your program or product, while adding to the excitement of the weekend, supporting AEE and directly connecting with conference attendees. All sponsors will be highlighted in our Conference Program and during our opening and closing sessions. Certain sponsorship levels include a conference exhibit booth, signage in high-traffic areas, and complementary registrations. Your donation is an investment for you, as 80-120 conference attendees are expected to attend - many of whom are influential in the companies, camps, conference centers and educational institutions they represent.
We hope you will consider supporting the Rocky Mountain Region and our regional conference. Should you have any questions regarding AEE, sponsorship opportunities, advertising opportunities, or participation in the auctions, you may contact me at councell@aa.edu or by phone at 505-858-8865. Please check out our conference on the AEE Rocky Mountain regional website: http://rockymountain.aee.org/
Thank you for your consideration.

The potential for growth in the Rocky Mountain Region is almost unlimited, and through your generous support, we hope to increase conference attendance by at least 25% each year.
The Live Auction
We are also hosting a live auction, which will be held on the Saturday evening of the conference. This is a great opportunity to present your company's products as well as your support for active education through personal experience. These in-kind donations will be auctioned off to professional individuals and organizations with affiliations in education, recreation, outdoor adventure, management, training and development, mental health, youth services, physical education, disabilities programming, and outdoor/environmental education.
Appropriate donations for a live auction include:
- Adventure-related equipment and apparel
- Books
- Complementary and/or discounted tickets to festivals and events
- Discounted trainings
- Gift certificates

- Anything else you might find appropriate
We are also seeking a few more cherished items such as a kayak, canoe, skis, or mountain bike.
Donations that require a minimum bid are also welcome. Upon confirmation of the donation, you will receive a letter indicating receipt of your tax-deductible gift. The Association for Experiential Education is a 501(c) (3), tax-exempt organization. We will list all auction items on our website with links to your company's web page.
Donated gifts and services that retail at $300 or more will be listed alongside other conference supporters in the conference program. Companies that donate gifts and services that are worth $500 or more are invited to send a banner or advertisement to display during the auction. The funds generated from the live auction will be used to support our scholarship goals for the region, the Association for Experiential Education, and the Rocky Mountain Region.
