The Association for Experiential Education (AEE) - Rocky Mountain Region website is a resource for AEE members, teachers, educators, camp directors, social workers and others to help promote experiential education in the Rocky Mountain Region.  The Association for Experiential Education divides North America in eight regions.  The Rocky Mountain Region is defined as encompassing Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Sonora and Sinaloa (Mexico). 

This site includes recent announcements, newsletters, articles, member forums, and a calendar of events to help keep individuals up to date.  To keep in touch with happenings, please take time to register as a site user.  Registration is open to members and non-members.  For more information about becoming a member and supporting the organization, please see membership information at the AEE national site.

We are proud to announce that this years Regional Conference Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Dan Garvey; Dan is currently a Faculty Fellow in the Institute for Sustainable Social Change at Prescott College. He previously served as Prescott College's President for a decade and is a former Director of The Association for Experiential Education

Last year the Rocky Mountain Region began what we hope becomes a long-standing tradition: Regional Awards.  The 2011 Awards were awarded in Orem last February at the Rocky Mountain Regional Conference.  We are now soliciting nominations for the 2012 Rocky Mountain Regional Awards to be presented at the 2012 Regional Conference in Durango, CO.
